In this demo, Sedona CTO and co-founder Ori Gerstel shows Light Reading Editor-in-Chief Ray Le Maistre how NetFusion enables service providers to get the most out of their network – especially during times of high traffic. In the demo scenario, a huge game day in Denver has created a traffic anomaly, over-burdening the network. With NetFusion, service providers are able to automatically add capacity when an anomaly is detected and reducing it once the spike has receded. This capability is only enabled through NetFusion’s holistic view of the network, enabling service providers to maintain SLA’s, keep customers happy, and lead the digital transformation – even on game day.
Sedona’s NetFusion is the first control platform which converges network layers, automatically discovering multi-vendor topology and traffic for both Optical and IP/MPLS layers, as well as the cross-layer connections between them. Data is stored as a network model in an internal database and made available through the NetFusion Explorer UI and an API.
