RA’ANANA, ISRAEL AND CUPERTINO, CALIFORNIA – AUG. 3, 2016 - Sedona Systems, creator of the market’s first IP/optical converged control platform for service provider networks, today announced it has closed its $13.6M round B of funding, led by Intel Capital. NextStar also joined as a new investor and previous investor Bessemer Venture Partners participated fully in the round. It brings the total amount invested in the company to $19.6M. Yair Shoham of Intel will join Sedona’s board of directors.

In an article covering OFC 2016, he brings Sedona’s demonstration of multilayer restoration as a prime example of the value of such integration. Perrin adds, “They are calling this as an industry first, and we believe this is true.”

Huawei has highlighted its collaboration with Sedona in its press release on OFC 2016. The leading Chinese vendor announced that it is cooperating with Sedona and Telefonica to demonstrate “multivendor multidomain interconnection.”
