Sedona Systems, a leader and innovator in the field of multilayer network control, is looking for dynamic and self-motivated candidates for the position of Sales Engineer. As a Sales Engineer, you will be the technical partner of the Account Manager and be responsible for all technical aspects of the pre-sales customer engagement.


  • Providing pre-sales support to the sales executive team
  • Contributing to sales goals to meet sales revenue goals
  • Delivering product demos and presentations at customer meetings, trade shows, and trade conferences
  • Delivering technical and architectural responses to RFx documents
  • Leading technical discussions with prospective customers
  • Documenting customer requirements and feedback for product management


  • A thorough understanding of optical and data networking technologies is essential
  • At least 5 years of experience in IP/MPLS and/or optical networking in service provider environments
  • At least 5 years of technical sales experience
  • IP/MPLS and/or optical network architecture and protocols knowledge
  • Experience and knowledge in the positioning, selling, and usage of software systems is a huge plus
  • Linux and scripting knowledge are a huge plus
  • Ability to work independently; being very pro-active and self-motivated is an absolute must for this role
  • Ability to travel 50% (within the US)
